It has become known for its prophetic work among former gang members and for its work for social justice on local, national and global issues. The parish cares for the spiritual, social and material needs of its parishioners who come primarily from the immediate neighborhood, the poorest area of Boyle Heights.

Each year they recruit and train a diverse corps of our country’s brightest high school graduates and support them through a school-year long immersion in communities across Africa, Asia, and Latin America during a “bridge year” before college. The Individual Giving Manager is a fundraising professional who will design and implement a strategic individual giving program. This critical role will manage the research, cultivation and stewardship of individual donors and prospects through the implementation of a moves management strategy, and will work closely with the team to grow their fundraising capacity.

Their strategic goal is to accelerate climate, sustainability, and equitable solutions in the United States and Asia by transforming communities, cities, regions and supply chain factories — making them more climate smart, inclusive, and prosperous. Given the increasing urgency of the climate crisis, the Board of Directors has decided to double the size of the organization to increase its impact. The Vice President will lead this effort in partnership with the President, Board and senior staff. The VP will also oversee the development and implementation of ISC’s external branding, communications, messaging, and outreach strategies in support of ISC’s overall direction and expansion goals.
