Over the weekend, I just finished my personal VISION 2015: 1,000-DAY PLAN. I started looking at goals, ideas, priorities during my 3-day ‘birthday event’ last week when I realized that I could begin my next 1,000 days this coming Monday, April 2nd… and that this plan would take me through 2012, 2013 and 2014 (almost exactly 1,000 days to 2015).
What is your VISION for 2015?
Where would you like to BE (with your organization, in your life) on January 1, 2015?
There are 3 quarters (Q2, Q3 and Q4) left in 2012… 3-90 Day Opportunities to make some ‘good stuff’ happen.
*Goals for the 4 Quarters of 2013 don’t have to be as specific, but should be moving you towards your VISION for 2015.
A 1,000-Day Plan is a combination of ‘magic‘ and ‘math‘. What would you look like on January 1, 2015 if you built a 1,000-Day Plan for:
Take it from an Old Guy, it’s amazing how life becomes a Self-Fulfilling Prophecy.
*Then, just when you think the whole SFP/Goal/Vision thing works… you’re reminded of the Hebrew 1-liner: MAN PLANS. GOD LAUGHS.
NOTE: Reinforced seat belts. Here’s a great comment/suggestion from Chris Megison at Solutions for Change, one of the best For Impact Organizations in the World.
“We just finished year one of using almost this exact model (1,000-Day Plan), based on the coaching of For Impact. If you do this, make sure you have heavy REINFORCED SEATBELTS, like the kind they use at Magic Mountain on those monster roller-coasters.”
