Areas we're impacting

Pressing Issues

For Impact is a force for good, applying our experience to bring clear strategy and funding resources to the most pressing issues of our time, such as climate change mitigation, economic justice, food security, and much more.

Social Innovation

Our roots were forged in Catholic education and economic development. Today, we apply our human-centered-design approach to new frontiers of social innovation from aquaponics to artificial intelligence.

Entrepreneurial Results

Helping to unlock funding is our contribution to impact. However, to do that effectively, we usually have to bring entrepreneurial thinking to get clear on strategy, work through constraints, and build systems for desired change.

Celebrating Client Impact

Intellectual & Developmental Disability Support

Over seven million Americans (up to three percent of the general US population) live with an intellectual and developmental disability. The LOGAN Center in South Bend, Indiana supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities for almost 70 years so they, and their families, may achieve their desired quality of life. Approximately 1500 each year benefit from exceptional care and innovative programs to help increase the quality of life for those affected and their families.

International Development

In the world’s toughest places, Engineers Without Borders USA is partnering with communities to tackle the challenges that keep the world’s poorest people from living healthy, productive lives. Through volunteerism of 13,800 skilled volunteer engineers, communities are supported in finding appropriate solutions for their infrastructure needs. Footbridges to provide pathways to opportunities, solar panels that bring light where it is dark, and wells that can spring from the ground are all projects that build the foundation for a community to thrive for years to come.

Improving Food Security

Africa will account for 50 percent of the world’s population growth (adding one billion people) over the next three decades. Currently, one in four lack adequate food for a healthy, active life. Food solutions are critical to this population. Partners in Food Solutions is helping to cultivate a sustainable African food industry through expansion and increased competitiveness of the food processing sector. By connecting corporate volunteers from world-class food companies with promising entrepreneurs in ten African countries, world-class expertise is shared to enhance everything from facility design to product development in order to strengthen food security, improve nutrition, and increase economic development.

The team at For Impact have been incredible partners to The Hunger Project as we've developed a culture of sales and increased our revenue. They are wise coaches and creative generators of ideas. Their frameworks and tools provide clear direction and easy-to-implement concepts. THEY WORK! Every team member has such a commitment to making the world a better place. We are grateful to call them our partners!

Global Vice President | The Hunger Project

At first, I was hesitant to work with For Impact. Although I needed help structuring my organization’s message and prospect list, I was weary of consultants promising results in a short period of time. Nonetheless, For Impact was so highly recommended to me that the MindLeaps Board encouraged me to take on a three-month trial period. WOW! After two weeks, I said to myself, if I had known that For Impact was this good, I would have hired them years ago!

- Rebecca Davis

Founder & Executive Director | MindLeaps

I’ve worked with the team at For Impact as a development lead at two different NGOs. When you find a consultant who has the expertise, flexibility and responsiveness that For Impact has, you don’t let them go! They bring a combination of guidance, practical skills training, message development and sage advice that is invaluable. They understand the philanthropy landscape and have been true partners in helping us maximize our fundraising potential in a strategic, sustainable way.

Managing Director, Philanthropic Engagement | WaterAid America

With the training and guidance we receive from For Impact, our team steps into every visit with a donor or prospective donor with an elevated approach to planning, strategy and ultimately – the ask. Our annual fundraising goal has more than doubled from the onset of hiring For Impact. I’ve witnessed a shift in culture within our philanthropy department, and it’s been extremely rewarding to celebrate our shared success over the years.

- Adria Minniear

Chief Philanthropy Officer | LOGAN Center

For Impact has been a complete game changer for our grantee partners. Our partners asked for fundraising support and we hosted a number of For Impact workshops. This training received the highest evaluations for any training we have offered and I see our partners putting the skills to use and getting great results.

- Joyce Malombe

Interim Program Director | Wellspring Philanthropic Fund

The AOG team has taken a few For Impact training sessions and it has transformed our approach to fundraising. During the training, we devised the current AOG vision statement that ‘by 2030, Rwanda’s Most Successful Person Will Be a Young Social Entrepreneur.’ Thanks to that vision and learning how to engage funders around it, we have seen increased funding results.

- Jean d'Amour Mutoni

Co-founder and CEO | Acts Of Gratitude

Fundraising and development is often a real pain point for the small, early stage organizations with which we engage. The For Impact bootcamp and training is one of the most impactful and scalable tools to orient organizations to raise funds and reenergize their fundraising strategy and activities. It changes mindsets around fundraising for all stakeholders and is a highly effective way of leveraging the capacity of an organization to acquire the resources it needs to fulfill its mission. I recommend it to everyone I meet!
