This is Dave Cutcliffe, Peyton Manning’s old quarterback coach at Tennessee, quoting General Patton in a Sports Illustrated article on Manning’s ‘free agency decision’.
As you may have read, Manning was the most sought after free agent in history of the NFL. He was trying to decide between Arizona, Tennessee and Miami.
Cutcliffe’s and Patton’s point is a good one for all of us:
